Crochet Pattern: Argh Me Matey Pirate Eye Patch

By Erin Burger – 7 Comments

Super fun and super simple, this pirate’s eye patch works up in minutes and is good for hours of play or for a quick ‘costume’ while handing out candy this Trick or Treat.

100% wool yarn isn’t recommended for this pattern because it can irritate the eye. Acrylic, acrylic mix, cotton or cotton mix yarns are recommended to prevent eye irritation and also to keep the eye patches strap from stretching too much!

How would I do the last part that says “attach a ch on left corner of eye patch w/ sl st, finish off w/ a tight knot to insure strap doesn’t break” that is the only part that is confusing? I have to finish this for my nephew’s birthday party tomorrow, so please help me…
    Thanks

Hi Jennifer, after you make your long chain, you’ll make a slip stitch into the left corner of the eye patch. That slip stitch will join the end of the chain to the left side.
