Hi Shirley, after each round be sure that you are not turning your work to make the next round. You should be crocheting in the round like a continuous spiral so that no joining is needed at the end. Let me know if that clarifies it or if you need more help.

i made a SUPER easy version of this. i made the pocket dbl crochet and slip stich the bottom closed. then i used the elastic cording and a zip button to close it. (my best description of the zip button is the button on the ends of elastic cords that you slide up and down to adjust the sizing.)

I added a shoulder strap to one of these little coin purses for my great granddaughter in Holland,The Netherlands..She will love it..She is 3 1/2 years old and is her moither’s daughter,,loves the purses and shoes and clothes.I am making me one like it, but bigger.

Hi Gina, I don’t have pics at the moment, so I’ll try to explain the row to you futher. For row 18, you are going to chain 4, then skip the next 2 double crochets on the row, then make a slip stitch in the next double crochet. Repeat those steps 6 times. This is what makes the flap design.

Hi! I love this pattern, but I’m confused about how to do Row 18 [turn, (ch 4, skip 2 dc, sl st in next dc): 6 times]. Are there any pictures I could follow? (I’m a beginner-level crocheter, so there are some things I’m still learning.) Thanks.

Thanks for this pattern! I made three pieces of them. I doubled the length size so that I can put in my glasses instead!
