Hey rachel, i have a 6 month old little girl and i bought some the the super streachy headband off of amazon that come withlarge feathers or bows that you can clip to them. they look really simple to make and i can crochet and knit. but i cant for the life of me figure out what the material is called or where to get it. would you have any idea? i would submit a picture if i could to give you an idea of what it looks like.

Hi Tina, you can do 16″ for toddlers and 14″ for babies. Head sizes vary so much regardless of age, so if you can measure the person’s head that would be best.

Love this pattern! Do you have any recommendations on different length sizes for varying ages – from babies to young girls ? I see this one is listed as 18″ – young girl… Wasnt sure how much smaller to make it for a toddler or even an infant. Thanks so much !

Hi Mary, I’m not sure of the headbands you are referring to. But if you’d like you can crochet this headband with elastic instead of yarn. Or even like the edges of the headband with elastic and crochet the headband with ribbon.

Hi Rachael
I bought about 20 headbands on E-Bay that came from China. It is elastic and ribbon. I use them everyday to cover the new gray hair that grows in the front edges of my head. This way I can give my hair a rest from the chemicals in the dye.

Do you happen to have a pattern on how they make their head bands. I get a lot of compliments on them and people stop me all the time and ask me where I buy them.

Hi Anna, I normally run my finger along the chain to untwist it before I join the chain together. Then after it is joined together, I would run my fingers along it again to double check before I continue crocheting.
