Crochet Pattern: Christmas Tree Hat (5 Sizes)

By Rachel Choi – 7 Comments
There’s a new pattern in the Crochet Spot Store! Are you ready to get into the Christmas spirit? This hat can be crocheted in 5 different sizes from babies to adults so that everyone in the family can have a fun hat. The hat is crocheted in one piece from the top down, then the tree trims are crocheted direct onto the hat so that no sewing is required. The trims are crocheted with colorful beads, which are used as ornaments. The star is then crocheted separately, and then sewn onto the top of the hat. Due to the techniques used in this pattern, it is not recommended for beginners unless you’re up for a fun challenge!

Looks like you could easily stuff it and just add a crocheted flat bottom or even sew felt to bottom for a cute holiday display too!

    Pretty tree design, Rachel.

    This is a ridiculous hat…

    I love it!

Can this also be made as a table top decoration?

    • Rachel Choi says:

Sure, Judi! You can stuff the inside and sit it on the table. You don’t have to have a bottom to close it, but if you do want one, you can crochet a flat circle. If you need help with it, just let me know 🙂

Am I glad it is January and I am just seeing this Christmas tree hat…gives me 11 months to make a bunch because I have a family that will be fighting to get one….like potato chips, can’t have just one. Thanks for the robot pattern also…will make good use of it as well. I look forward to being on your list of followers and seeing what other goodies you come up with. THANKS, Cecelia
