That is so cute! I’ve never wanted to crochet a hat and didn’t think I would but I can see myself wearing that. I just ordered it and I’m doubly excited because I’m going to Stitches tomorrow and now I have something to look for yarn for. This’ll be fun!

Either I have a gigantic head or I did something wrong, because it turned out way too small for my head, but fit my toddler perfectly. It also didn’t have those cool swirls on the top… =(

Hi Brandi, did you check your gauge before you started? If the gauge matched what was in the pattern, then the hat should be the same size. Also, the swirls are created by the increased at the beginning of the pattern. Make sure you use a marker to mark the end of each round and count to make sure that the increases are in the right place.

Hi Rachel! I’ll give it another shot tonight! Thanks for the pointers! =)

Just finished the hat and I love it. I don’t see the cool swirls in mine but, my friend said that b/c I made it with a variegated yarn that could be why. I wore it to work today and everyone thought it was so cute, I even received two requests to make them. I’m so excited! It was really easy! Thanks Rachel!
