Hi Sherlyn, the easiest way to make it bigger is to use a larger crochet hook or thicker yarn. You can even holder more than one strand of yarn together to crochet if you don’t have a thicker yarn. Adding stitches can be tricky, so you’d have to play around with it.

I have tried this pattern yesterday, very nice and love it. First time i able to crochet by reading abbreviation without video as i’m a beginner. But the pattern i come out is smaller since i have smaller hook and yarn. If i want to make it 50% bigger, which part i should add more stitch? thanks.

Hi Amanda, when you’re done round 7, your going to turn your work 90 degrees so that the last row you made is on the side of the work and not on top anymore. Then on row 8 (with your pink yarn), you’re going to start in the right hand corner on the top of the work (the sides of row 1 -7).

I’m still confused about how to crochet along the sides of rows 1-7. I’m right handed. when I turn it 90° counter clockwise, do I turn it as I would normally do if I’m going to just make rows THEN 90° or not? Thank you!
