A flower with just a little bit of pop makes a great accent to finish off a hat or other project. It’s also good on its own as part of a handmade bouquet. Vary the look by pressing the center inward or outward or by changing color after the second round. crochet_dimensional_flower

Skill Level:

Finished Size: 2 1/2″ (6.5 cm) across (measured straight down the middle)

Materials:
Medium Weight Yarn (approximately 5 yards)
Crochet Hook G (4.00 mm)
crochet yarn size 4

Gauge:
Rounds 1 – 4 measure 2 1/2″ (6.5 cm) across

Crochet Pattern: Dimensional Flower
Round 1: make adjustable ring, ch 3, 10 dc in ring, sl st in first dc: 10 dc
Round 2: ch 1, sc in each dc around: 10 sc
Round 3: (ch 3, dc in next sc, [dc, ch 3, sl st] in next dc) around: 45 sts
Round 4: ch 1, (2 sc in next ch-space, ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, ch 3, 2 sc in next ch-space) around: 60 sts
Finish off.
