Crochet Pattern: Drawstring Pouch

By Amy Yarbrough – 4 Comments
Little crocheted pouches are unique and great for carrying valuables or just little things that are easily lost. This pouch is worked in the round and has a tight crocheted bottom to prevent loss of whatever you might wish to carry in it, making it great for travel. Complete with a picot edging and twisted cord for the drawstring, this pouch has plenty of room for quite a few little things. Make them for yourself and all your family and friends and see just what precious things they decide to store in their pouches. Drawstring Pouch

Drawstring
Cut a strand of yarn that measures 3 yards. Fold in half and knot at the end. Looping knotted end on your finger or a pencil, loop opposite end over a hook or doorknob. Twist loop around at least 100 times and then lift end from hook. Fold in half again and let the yarn wind back on itself. Knot at the end and draw yarn in and out through ch-1 spaces of Round 35 of pouch until you meet at the beginning.

These are great,,,, cute and practical. They are the sort of little treasures my Mom would have made several and then kept on hand for gifts. Think I will do the same ,, thanks so much for sharing SMILE
