I love it ~ I was sitting in bed last night and quickly crocheted four for my husband to use to mark his place in his Bible for his sermon today.

I love this pattern idea; but i am brand new to crocheting and just started trying to read patterns and i am stuck…. i dont know what (ch 6, sc in same ch as previous sc) is telling me to do exactly… I did the ch 7 and the sc, i understand it as – make ch 7, sc in the 1st ch (stop there and make addtnl ch6; and then im lost) i end up w a line and on sc in the middle….

    can anyone guide me?

Hi Brandie, after you make the 6 chains, you are going to make a single crochet in the same chain that you make your previous single crochet stitch (the very first chain that you made in the pattern). Each of the “ch 6″ will create a loop/petal of the flower. The single crochets are all made into the same chain, which is at the center of the flower. Let me know if you need more help.
