My daughter and I are new to crocheting. We understand making the flower but are not clear on the correct way to change to green and how to tie off after making the green chain. We do know how to change colors but have never done it in this type of stitch before. I did what I thought would work and made the chain. Now I am wonder the appropriate way to tie off the end of the green chain. If you could advise and be more clear on how to attach green, then how to tie off the green, we would appreciate it. Thanks.

Hi Brandie, after you make the 6 chains, you are going to make a single crochet in the same chain that you make your previous single crochet stitch (the very first chain that you made in the pattern). Each of the "ch 6" will create a loop/petal of the flower. The single crochets are all made into the same chain, which is at the center of the flower. Let me know if you need more help.
