This is such a cute pillow!! I love the colors you picked, but can also see the wonderful possibilities of making it in a lot of different color combos. I think I’m going to have to make one for myself, then maybe one for my daughter hahah

Don’t sweat it, Squirrely Girly. I think it’s perfectly reasonable to wish that things were free (I do it too!) But not everything is free, and accepting that is part of growing up. Maybe you can negotiate with your mom by doing extra chores, or by showing her that making something yourself is more satisfying and cheaper in the long run than buying something already made? You can make more of these and give them to your friends as presents, for example, instead of buying them something from a store. Heck, you can make them for HER friends! If you can figure out how to alter the pattern to make them smaller you can also make pet toys or key chain charms, too – I think the varieties are endless. Good luck!

Squirrely Girly: Would your mother use a credit card if you offered to earn the money for the pattern? Offering to work for the cost of the pattern may impress your mom. Just an idea.

Well, Mary, the thing is that my mom won’t buy me any patterns and I don’t have a credit card because I’m almost a teenager! How can I buy patterns if my mom won’t let me?

Squirrely Girly, I think you have to understand that not everyting is free. I don’t mean to say this to be mean or anything. It’s just that everyone has to work to make a living (even people that make crochet patterns). There are plenty of free patterns that are for free on Crochet Spot. I’m always glad when I do see one that’s free but I’m also always happy to support Crochet Spot by buying a pattern that I like (it is worth it). I hope you can understand!
