Hi Kathryn, you can try and crochet the shamrock with a larger crochet hook along with a thicker weight of yarn or more than one strand of yarn held together. I’m not sure what you mean by putting a hat on the blanket, but you can sew more than one shamrock on top of another or place it on anything you’d like.

Hey rachel! My boyfriend is very irish and i want to make him a big blanket with the clover in the middle as a centerpiece for the blanket. how would you suggest on making the pattern bigger?! And do you think there is any way to put one of the smaller shamrocks inside the front of the hat and then place the front of the hat in a blanket?! lots of fun ideas

since st. Patrick’s day is coming up,i was lookinf for a clover pattern.ran across this one here on crochetspot.it was so easy,i just love it.gonna use them to make pins for family members to wear on the big day.Thanks so much for sharing it.

Fabric glue would probably work the best, but other glues would probably do the trick as well.

Hi Helene, after you crochet the 4 pieces and the stem you cans sew them together using the photo as a guide. If you want to add a magnet you can glue it to the back after you sew it together.

Okay….I made the four leaves and the stem…….now where are the rest of the
pattern instructions? Never saw instructions for pieces and no finish.
Never did a magnate before either?????

Thank you so much for posting the pattern! My sister in law and her husband go to court on St. Patty’s Day to fight an unlawful firing and they asked for some crochet four leaf clovers to keep in their pockets.
