Hi, you work these rounds as a spiral, meaning that you don’t join at the end of the round. Using a stitch marker makes this technique easier, see here about using stitch markers in crochet and working rounds in different ways: http://www.crochetspot.com/different-ways-to-crochet-in-the-round/

In each round, I read from Japanese Pattern that usually start with chain stich at next level round and use sl st at the end round to 1st ch for sc, or 3rd ch for dc. Ex: start with ch-1 if use sc stich, and ch-3 if use dc stich. How about your pattern, cause I didn’t found tha requst…please help me, thx…^_^
