Crochet Pattern: Open Drop Earrings

These dangling earrings are great for everyday wear or, made with the right thread, good for a night out. The tricky increases along with the thread and small hook make these a better choice for more experienced crocheters or beginners who like a challenge. crochet_open_drop_earrings

Skill Level:

Finished Size: 1 1/2″ (4 cm) tall, 1 1/4″ (3 cm) wide

Materials:
Size 10 Crochet Thread (approximately 25 yards of each color)
Crochet Hook B (2.5 mm)
2 Earwires
crochet yarn size 4

Gauge:
Round 1 – 2 in pattern measures 1 1/2″ tall, 1 1/4″ wide.

Crochet Pattern: Open Drop Earrings (make 2)
Round 1: Ch 13, sl st in first ch, ch 1, sc in first 3 ch, hdc in 4th ch, hdc 4th and 5th ch tog, hdc in 5th ch, 2 dc in each of next 3 ch, hdc in 9th ch, hdc 9th and 10th ch tog, hdc in 10th ch, sc in next 3 ch, sl st in beginning ch-1: 18 sts
Round 2: ch 1, sc in next 3 sc, 2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc, 2 dc in each of next 6 dc, 2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc, sc in next 3 sc, sl st in beginning ch-1: 28 sts

Finish off. Add earwires.

    Maria, this is just a guess, but I think your project would turn out small, but that might be a nice look. You should give it a try and see how it goes.
