Crochet Pattern: Open Moebius Headband

This headband has only one side and one edge–It’s a cool little mathematical trick involving a ring with a half-twist. This pattern is simple enough for those who are new to Moebius crochet to follow. Skill Level:

Finished Size: 2″ (5 cm) wide, 20″ (51 cm) diameter

Materials:
Medium Weight Yarn (approximately 30 yards)
Crochet Hook H (5.0 mm)

Gauge:
5 sc = 2″ (5 cm)
2 rounds = 2″ (5 cm)

Crochet Pattern: Open Moebius Headband

Note: If you do not know how to crochet a Moebius, please see this tutorial first: How to Crochet a Moebius. The first 56 stitches of the first row are done in the bottom of the chain, and the remaining ones are worked in the top of the chain as usual.

Round 1: Ch 56, flip chain and sl st in bottom of first ch made to join, ch 3, dc in same ch, (ch 1, sk 1, dc in next ch) until one ch remains, ch 1, sk 1, sl st in top of beg ch-3: 112 sts
Round 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across, sl st in beg ch-1: 112 sc
