Crochet Pattern: Open Tunisian Scarf

By Candace – 5 Comments
Light, airy scarves are great for fall weather, and this skinny Tunisian crochet scarf with a natural bias fits the bill with its open pattern and lightweight yarn. This pattern requires familiarity with basic Tunisian crochet as well as the Tunisian double crochet and Tunisian bar stitches. crochet_open_tunisian_scarf

I am having trouble reading the directions, can you please clarify?

In row 1 after chaining 22, what do you mean by pull up a loop in each chain across? Is it like making single crochet stitches?

In row 2, what does after the tdc stiches, what do you mean by yarn over 4 stitches? Is it like chain 4 stitches?

Thank you so much. I am just a little confused as with the directions.
