It still didn’t work out, so I just went on to the last row and did a sc in each sc and 4 sc in the ch-spaces and it turned out beautiful. I made it with #10 crochet cotton and am working on a second one.

Hi Karen, this is Erin’s pattern, so I’m going to take a wild guess and say the “4 sc in next ch-4 space” should be at the end of the repeat? Try doing it that way and let me know if it works its self out. I haven’t had the chance to work this doily up myself yet, sorry!

Hi Stacie, since the doily is worked in the round the “next sc” refers to the sc that is at the beginning of the round. For example, on round 3 you can read “sc in next sc” as “sc in first sc” if it is the first time you doing it, since the first sc on the round is the next sc.

Hello,

At rounds 3-23, where is says “skip in next __sc”, where do you start the next sc? I did chain 4 and a little confused as to where to put the next stitch. Is it on the loop?

For instance, at round 5, “skip next sc, sc in next 3 sc”. Since I am skipping one stitch, shouldn’t the next sc be right before the loop? And for sc in next 3 sc, are these on the loop?

My question is, I am a little confused on the positioning; where are you supposed to be when you “skip next sc” and when you “sc in next __ sc”.

Do you have a tutorial on doing a similar pattern or this stitch? Seeing how it’s done helps too. I hope my explanation was not confusing.

I’m looking for a crochet version of the knitted pinwheel baby blanket and this is just what I needed. Hopefully I can keep working this in rounds until it’s about 3feet wide. I’ll let you know if I give it a try.
