Crochet Pattern: Simple Pouch

By Candace – 6 Comments
This pattern is great for beginners who want to practice but still make something. You can practice three of the most common stitches, single, double, and half-double crochet. After you complete these short rows, fold it, sew it, and you now have a functional pouch for pens, crafting supplies, or whatever else you need to store.

It is also a good quick project for non-beginners; its frequent stitch variation should keep you interested until the end.

That’s actually a great project for beginners. They can make something useful, instead of just a coaster or something.

I was looking for an easy cell phone case, too, and this will do just fine. I could make a tie string at the top woven in and out to close it.

I recently made this pouch to give as a eyeglass case. I loved it. It was super easy and didn’t take long to make at all. I stumbled a bit on sewing the sides, because I lost my crochet needle and had to use another method, but it all worked out. Thanks for this pattern!
