You could glue a child’s picture in the rings for a keepsake ornament. You may need to make the rings larger-wouldn’t this make a neat gift for a grandparent’s tree with pictures of the grandchildren in the rings?

Very pretty! I’ve tried crocheting in rings before to make an Angel, but I didn’t like the finished product. I think this one would be nice. It almost looks like it was tatted. I’ll have to give it a try. Did you know…… the plastic ring on your soda bottle (the one left after you unscrew the top) is 1 inch?

This is so cute, maybe i’ll get bigger rings and do it with yarn (because I don’t like to work with thread). this is such a cute idea. Also Metta Nicewarner, that is a really nice idea you have.

I have bought silver and gold thread over in the embroidery floss section, and have crocheted trim with it. Wouldn’t it be pretty to do that with this pattern? Maybe a silver star and gold circles and trim or vice versa. Also feed some crystal e-beads onto your thread before starting to crochet the border, and pop one into each of the little points?
