Hi Jai,

Everything after the colon at the end of the round is the stitch count. So you should ave 69 dc and 2 hdc when you are done round 3. You don’t have to make another 2 hdc.

–> Am I meant to connect the round with the slip stitch and then do 2 half-double crochets in the next two stitches?

Round 1: with G hook and DK weight yarn, ch 20, 3 dc in forth ch from hook, dc in next in next 5 ch. is this supposed to be dc in next 5 chains

Mamie, sure you can! The yarn used in the pattern is a bit thinner, so your heart will end up a bit bigger than what’s indicated in the pattern if that’s okay with you.
