Crochet Pattern: Textured Baby Hat

By Candace – 1 Comment
This hat, made for infants 6-12 months old, has varying flat and front post stitches that give it a nice texture. The bottom edge naturally flares out to create a small brim. Combining thick texture with bulky yarn, this hat is ideal for keeping a baby’s head warm in the cold weather.

Finished Size: 19″ (48.5 cm) circumference, 5″ (12.5 cm) tall

Materials:
Bulky Weight Yarn (approximately 50 yards)
Crochet Hook J (6.0 mm)

Gauge:

  1. Rachel,
Just wanted to say “Thank You” for your generous offers. I sure appreciate them.
I learned to make a scrubby from your pattern about two years ago. It came out
ok. I wanted it for the kitchen for dishes. It worked. Since then I had an acquaintance
show me one just a little thicker and have made many since. But you got me started
with clear direction. I do need clear directions. I’m still a beginner. I have always had
trouble following directions. So clear and precise is so necessary for me.
Thank you again. I love your website. Thank you for your kindness. Marianne
