Hey, guys, there is a pattern for a nativity in the current issue of Crochet World magazine. You can see it by going to crochet-world.com.
For years I have collected patterns for small Thanksgiving "ornaments" Love the look of crocheted turkeys, and since I don't eat them, it is a special honor to the poor Toms who do not survive the holiday. Better a crocheted turkey that a cooked one.

I am working on a tree for each holiday. I purchased a beautiful artificial tree on sale, and plan to put it up in my house in Mexico (I am moving in 36 months) and leave the tree up, simply changing the theme for each holiday.

Year ago, I crocheted a turkey coaster that was also a napkin ring/holder. You slipped the napkin through the waddle of the turkey and your glass was suppose to rest above on his head. He was really cute and had a lot of color changes. I made enough for my mom's Thanksgiving table that year. Well mom has passed on now but I never saw my turkey coasters again-maybe she gave them away or they wore out, I'm not sure. Anyway, I began a search on line for a similiar pattern and now have a real collection of turkey patterns all of which I would love to do. I know I won't have them in time for this year but hopefully next Thanksgiving will be turkey-ful. As far as Christmas, I am busy doing gifts but not really decorations. I have seen some really cute santas and may give them a try if I can get my gifts done in time and I have a lovely garland design of snowflakes in my to do pile as well.

Ditto what Linda said. I've been looking for a nativity set to crochet. I can't find anything that's quite my taste - everything out there seems too fancy and guilded!

I haven't crocheted anything specifically for Thanksgiving before, but I have crocheted a cornucopia with little stuffed crocheted fruits and veggies to fill it up with. My kids play with them in their "kitchen".
