This is such a pretty rose, I haven't crocheted in a while but I'm going to have to give this a try! I tried walking through the instructions- a photo of each step would sure be helpful (hint hint) :-)

Hi Karen, "previous" is referring to the last double crochet you just made, which is the "previous double crochet".

One more quick question i just want to make sure i am doing every step perfect. In the Row 1- The second sentence says, "Chain 2, skip 2 chains on your foundation chain, double crochet in the next chain, chain 2 again, double crochet in the same chain that you made the previous double crochet in. When you say previous double crochet in" Do you mean the first double crochet you do in the first sentence or the double crochet in the second sentence? I hope you understand that. I just dont know if you mean previous as in the first first first double crochet or the one i just did in the second sentence. Thanks so much!:)

Hi Karen, it's the space that is underneath the 2 chains. You can find a picture of crocheting into a chain space in this post: What is a Chain Space (ch-sp)? Let me know if you need more help.

I am so glad I stumbled across your site Rachel. I have made two of these stunning roses so far and they've come out perfectly each time. What a bonus that it takes such a short time to make one. Really beginning to enjoy crocheting.
Thank you for your site!
