Hi Pam, here's a tutorial that might help you out: <a href="http://www.crochetspot.com/how-to-crochet-on-opposite-side-of-chain/" rel="nofollow">How to Crochet on Opposite Side of Chain</a>
In the tutorial there's pictures so you can see what it looks like to crochet on the other side.

Also, the numbers after the colon are the total stitch count for the round. So if it says ": 16dc" at the end, you would have completed a total of 16 double crochet on that round.

I am new at crocheting and I am having trouble unfortunately. When you say " dc on opposite side of foundation" I thought it meant to simply turn and dc across foundation? It did not look right so I must misunderstand.....Also when you say "16 dc" where am I doing those dc's. I am sorry if I sound dumb but I am new at this and sometimes the phrasing confuses me. Can you give me a little help? I would appreciate that.

Hi Emi, make sure you didn't accidentally skip any stitches next to your ch 2. If there is a gap, adding an extra stitch to where to gap is won't hurt.

This is awesome! I made a pink one to start and then a red one with the USC logo on the back for my boyfriend! I had to use single crochet to fit the logo, and then it didn't fit his phone so I got to keep it... hahaha! Great pattern! I love the crocheted button (=

Thanks for your reply. It realy helps. I knew that has connection with last chain that I've made, but I wasn't sure where exactly to insert the hook. Now I know :).

Thanks one more time for your patience!

Hey Persephonna!

the "ch-2" refers to the ch 2 that you did at the beginning of the round. So you slip stitch in the 2nd ch of the chain 2 that you made. This connects the beginning to the end of the round.

I hope that helps :)

During this project, I've encounted another problem... I didn't know how to do this part SL ST IN CH-2 and I had to improvised. Could you explaine that, please? I know what SL ST is but CH-2?
