Thanks for this pattern! I am actually going to make a bunch of these to hang in the closet — we’ve had an onslaught of clothes moths this year, so these will be perfect stuffed with a little cedar and polyfill. They shouldn’t take up too much room, either.

thanks so much for this pattern! i plan on making a bunch of these for my christmas tree this year. much safer option for those of us with babies that will be grabbing stuff off the tree.

Hi Hezaaa, if you want to add spots, you can use felt or similar materials and cut out circles and sew them on. You can also use the first round in the pattern to make a small circle and sew that on.

Just an add on to what Rachel said.

If your ball looks a little wavy sometimes you can fix that by changing the amount of stuffing you use.

If I wanted to add spots to these without them looking like little tumors on the ball how would I do that?

Hi Kristin, if your ball ends up wavy that is a sign that there are too many stitches in a particular round. So be sure that the number of stitches in each round is the same amount indicated in the pattern. Also, be sure to use a stitch marker to help you see the end and beginning of each round. If you need help understanding a particular part of the pattern, let me know and I'll be glad to explain it in more detail.

I was really excited to start the christmas ball pattern and I know it says beginner but I just can’t seem to get it! My center ends up being not centered and the circle is all wavy. Help me please!
