They are a slight pain in the neck to sew on to the blanket, but it is well worth the effort. The blanket now is beautiful. I recently flew home from a trip sitting in the middle seat of the row. I made two of these during the flight and the folks on either side of me were fascinated and impressed by what I crocheted. It looks to those who don't crochet like it is difficult to do, but it is so easy. This is a wonderful applique and really perks up any plain baby blanket.
