Crochet Pattern: Bunny Applique

Posted in Free Crochet Patterns on March 22nd, 2012 by Emilee Gettle – 4 Comments
Here comes Peter Cottontail hopping down the bunny trail! It’s time to start crocheting some projects for Easter. This quick and easy bunny is a great pattern for beginners. It is so fast to make and can be used in a variety of ways. It’s also a great scrap saver project for all those extra yarn bits that are lying around. This chubby bunny could be sewn on your child’s Easter outfit, made into a pin, used to embelish linens or baby gifts. If you like chocolate bunnies, then swap out the white yarn for a cocoa brown color. Have fun and happy crocheting this week!

I scream you scream we all scream for ice cream! Who can resist a frosty scoop of homemade strawberry ice cream atop a crispy, crunchy ice cream cone? Sounds pretty good to me right about now. This sweet project whips up in no time and can be used so many ways. You can sew this fat-free cone on a little girl’s dress or a baby’s blanket. You could stitch two together to make a little pouch for candies. Make several and sew them together to make a darling light scarf. You can also switch up the flavor appeal by changing the colors of the cones crowing glory.

Crochet Pattern: Wrist Cuffs

Posted in Free Crochet Patterns on January 5th, 2012 by Emilee Gettle – 3 Comments
These wrist cuffs coordinate with my Chic and Simple Neckwarmer pattern. They are really fast to crochet and it’s a great project for beginners. I love using boucle yarn because it is not only soft but it also disguises the stitches, making the end result look like faux fur. If you have matching vintage buttons around they can add a lot of punch to this project making it as elegant or downplayed as you like. If you need the wrist cuffs to be slightly larger, simply add to the beginning chain and lay it over your wrist and adjust accordingly. Have fun!
