If you want to keep the bottom as a hexagon you can replace the sides with “dc in each dc around” instead of using the rounds with the fpdc.

If you want to change the bottom into a circle, then you can use this circle tutorial: http://www.crochetspot.com/how-to-crochet-a-circle/ But you can dc instead of sc (the tutorial is for sc). You’ll start with 12 dc, then work the circle using the same “formula” that’s in the tutorial.

I have a round container (gift of cookies) that I want to cover using the nesting boxes pattern. The only problem is that I need to turn the hexagon into a circle so that it will fit. I still want to keep the hexagon center. Is there a formula for rounding out the points on the hexagon? I am looking forward to your reply. ]]>
