 After careful experimentation, here is a pattern that is great for showing off variegated yarn along with solid colored yarns. It's appearance is similar to the traditional granny square, but not quite! This unique, repetitive stitch pattern is simple and easy to crochet. The blanket is crocheted in rows, then a shell border is crocheted around the entire piece.
