![]() Wrap up this winter with a home-made hat and scarf! Being a big fan of the slouchy look in hats it's no wonder that the majority of them in my crocheted collection are a form of slouchy beret. And now here is one for you! Pair it with its matching scarf and you'll love the look. When I first saw a design similar to this scarf on a film, I decided I wanted to mimic it. I played around with a few stitches until I found this one. By pulling the initial yarn over of a double crochet up higher than normal, you achieve a long and lacy stitch that no one will guess is a basic stitch. This stitch pattern mimics broomstick lace and hairpin lace, but is so much simpler to crochet!
