 Crochet a set of thick and sturdy potholders to replace your old ones. Each potholder is designed so that you can place your hand inside of it. Or if you are extra cautious and are carrying an extra hot dish, you can use both layers of the potholder to protect your palms. Potholders can also function as trivets or hot pads. The best part of all, there is absolutely no sewing required!!
