 Kerchiefs are a more compact but still warm alternative to the bulkiness of a scarf. Unlike a cowl that fits just as closely, you don't need to pull it over your head. This kerchief is fastened at the back of the neck with a large button. It can also be worn on the head like a bandana in place of a hat or headband. This kerchief is crocheted from the bottom up, with a simple yet interesting open work pattern.
