Crochet Spot is a welcoming site where you can easily learn how to crochet and find funtastic crochet patterns to work with. The goal is to provide easy to follow tutorials and crochet patterns, while getting to know you the readers and having a ton of fun along the way!

Rachel Choi – Founder

I founded Crochet Spot not too long ago in 2009, right out of my Philadelphia home, as an adventure to share my crochet patterns with the world, and help others to crochet along the way. Today, I’m glad to say that Crochet Spot is a wild success, with hundreds of crochet patterns and tutorials, and thousands of visitors each month! If I didn’t have my favorite 3.25 mm hook, love for soft yarn, and of course your support, Crochet Spot wouldn’t be the funtastic place it is today.

I am 44 years young. I have a hubby, 2 daughters, 2 goats, 2 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, several fish – and 7.5 acres backing on to a state forest in semi-rural Queensland Australia to house them all! I am a self taught ‘hooker’ having purchased a book at 11 years old.

Candace Barr – Writer

I have been crocheting since I was 19 years old. I actually started not long after I first picked up my knitting needles. I also enjoy writing and reading as well as drawing, making jewelry, learning languages (I’m working on my fourth), and cooking. Basically, I like to learn and create.

Emilee Gettle – Writer

Crafting and crocheting is a real passion of mine. I grew up in a very crafty family and have been happily surrounded by yarn and fabric all my life. I began designing craft projects in my teens and have enjoyed every minute of it. I love filling my home with handmade goodies and passing on theses skills to my daughter.

Tameko Barnette – Writer

I’ve been crocheting since 2008 as a hobby. I’ve always been a creative person and my love for creating new things expanded into crochet even more so within the past several months. I’m is also a writer, an avid reader, and a yogini.
