2018 Crochet Pattern Requests

By Rachel Choi – 10 Comments

Over the years some of the best patterns that I’ve made have come from requests from readers like you. So this year, in 2018, what are some patterns you would like to see? Are there patterns that you’ve been searching for but can’t find? Do you want a pattern for something quirky and unique? Or perhaps something classic that you can use over and over again? Are you interested in crocheting sweaters, blankets, hats, or scarves?

Let me know your thoughts and ideas, and I’ll be sure to incorporate them in my 2018 to-do list!

It would be wonderful if you can make some posts and videos about how to changes crochet patterns for clothes so that they fit yourself. Every body is different and that can be a problem using crochet patterns.

I have been looking for a crocheted pattern for a male cardigan sweater with a collar.
Also have been looking for a crocheted pattern for Diddy Kong to complete my Son’s Nintendo collection.

I have been looking for a tiger stripe afghan pattern for a long time. I would love to find one that has row by row written instructions instead of just a graph.

A crocheted cape with a band at neck ….tie or button or whatever? Only closure at neck.
Almost to hip..just so do not sit on it. Want to keep shoulders and back warm when crocheting.

My grandmother had a red cape like this when I was little. The band at neck had ties. Was great length for playing Superman and flying off her footstool.

I can see it would be useful for crocheting and reading. Needs to be fitted at shoulders, but full enough to cover arms.

Have looked for years for a crochet pattern like this. Would be great if you could figure out a simple pattern that is practical. Not lacy.
    Thanks

Like Lenore, I too, am in search of a girl’s (sz 10-12 approx.) “capelet” to be worn with a First Communion Dress. I envision about an inch or so of sc for neckband with a single button closure. Just something to keep her upper arms and shoulders warm. Weather here even at the end of April can be somewhat cool or downright hot. :o) I’d be grateful for whatever you might come up with!

    Hi,
I’d love to see written instructions on the 3-D marshmallow stitch, which is popular on YouTube. This is such a unique stitch with so many possibilities! Thanks so much,

I am looking for MODEST tops – i.e., with short or longer sleeves, not open/lacy patterns. I need them in size 1X to 2X. The perfect patterns would tell how to modify length & sleeve length and neckline.

Thank you for asking for ideas & requests!
