Crochet Pattern: Fiery Hot Air Balloon Appliqué

Here is the third in my hot air balloon applique repertoire! (See my other two: Hot Air Balloon Applique and Striped Hot Air Balloon Applique). This pattern blends three fiery colors in a ripple between each section. The ripple is made with two rows of simple increasing and decreasing. Use this one and the others for decorating a blanket or nursery pillows, or whatever comes to mind. And as usual, have fun! Fiery Hot Air Balloon Applique

Skill Level:

Finished Size: 5 ½” (14cm) wide, 6 ½” (16.5cm) tall

Materials:
Light Weight Yarn – approximately 12 yards of color A (yellow), 18 yards of color B (orange), 10 yards of color C (red), and 5 yards of color D (brown)
Crochet Hook G (4.00 mm)

Gauge:
4 sc = 1’’
4 rows = 1’’
Gauge Swatch: 1’’w x 1’’h (2.5 cm x 2.5 cm) ch 5.
Row 1: sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across: 4 sc
Row 2 – 4: ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across: 4 sc
Finish off.
