Crochet Pattern: Star Garland

Here’s a free crochet pattern to add a string of stars to your home decor or us them for special occasions and parties. The red, white, and blue stars in the sample photo are great for July Fourth. Crochet the stars in any colors that you like and string them together to create the garland. Make the garland as long or short as you want by adding as many stars as you desire!

Skill Level: crochet skill level easy

Finished Size: each star measures 3″ (7.5 cm) diameter
The garland can be made as long or short as desired by adding more or less stars.

Materials:
Medium Weight Yarn (small amount of each color)
Crochet Hook I (5.50 mm)
crochet yarn size 4

Crochet Pattern: Star Garland
Star
Note: Crochet as many stars as desired, then follow the garland instructions to assemble them together.
Round 1: ch 3, 10 hdc in third ch from hook, sl st in first hdc: 10 hdc
Round 2: (ch 5, sl st in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch, skip 1 hdc, sl st in next hdc) 5 times, finish off.

Garland
Row 1: ch 15, sl st on the edge/tip of the first star, *ch 15, sl st in the edge/tip of the next star, repeat from * until all stars are attached, ch 15, finish off.
