Crochet Pattern: Toy Rope Ladder

When trudging through the jungle or nearing rocky cliffs, its always a good idea to take along a rope ladder in case you have to do some climbing. Or then again, you could make a miniature for an adventurous boy in your life. Perfect for 4 to 4 1/2 inch army men, any boy (and maybe some girls too) would love it! Rope Ladder

Skill Level:

Finished Size: 12.5″ (32 cm) long, 1″ (2.5 cm) wide

Materials:
Super Fine Weight Yarn (approximately 15 yards)
Crochet Hook D (3.25 mm)

Gauge:
5 sc = 1’’
5 rows = 1’’
Gauge Swatch: 1’’w x 1’’h (2.5 cm x 2.5 cm) ch 6.
Row 1: sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across: 5 sc
Row 2 – 5: ch 1, turn, sc in each sc across: 5 sc
Finish off.

Crochet Pattern: Rope Ladder

First Chain
Row 1: ch 76, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in ch across: 75 sl st
Finish off.

Second Chain, Rungs and attaching to First Chain
Row 1: ch 76, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in next 4 ch, ch 5, sl st in 5th st from bottom of First Chain, turn, sl st in the same 5 ch back to Second Chain, sl st in next 5 ch, (ch 5, sl st in 5th st from last rung of First Chain, turn, sl st in the same 5 ch back to Second Chain, sl st in next 5 ch) 13 times: 14 rungs
Finish off.
