Crochet Patterns for Mother’s Day Gifts

Mother’s Day gifts don’t have to be over the top or take a long time to crochet. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t put a lot of thought into it. You should think of something that your mom would like. Maybe it’s a new handbag, shawl, or home decorative piece? Use what you know about your mom to crochet her something special!

Below are some of my ideas that are simple and can be made as an added bonus to any mom’s present.

Crochet Flowers. Who ever said flowers are out rated? You can never go wrong with flowers, especially if they are hand crocheted by you. You can crochet a unique bouquet of flowers as your mother’s day present! Here are some stemmed flower patterns for you to choose from: Daisy Crochet Pattern, Tulip Crochet Pattern, Calla Lily Crochet Pattern, Sunflower Crochet Pattern.

Crochet Gift Box. Okay, this isn’t really a present, it’s something you can put your present in. Crochet a little box to add a thoughtful gesture to your gift. It’s the perfect size for jewelry or other small items. Be sure to crochet it in you mom’s favorite color! Here’s the pattern: Crochet Pattern: Box

Crochet Envelope. I normally use this for Valentine’s Day, but it works great for many occasions, including Mother’s Day. Instead of putting your “I love you Mom” note in a regular, boring, paper envelope, how about crocheting an envelope? It is super easy and fast to do. You can even embellish the envelope as you desire (I like to use a heart). Here’s the pattern: Crochet Pattern: Envelope

If you’re looking for a more personal crochet gift, like a shawl or handbag, there are hundreds of crochet patterns right here on Crochet Spot! Just use the search box at the top of the page to find a perfect crochet pattern to make your special gift.

I bought some new $5 t-shirts from Wal-Mart and am crocheting the collars on. Like the tutorial you did with the old shirt you had. I tested it out on one of my old t-shirts first. They look way better than plain ole Wal-Mart tees. 🙂

Well my gift was a GIGANTIC hit. I don’t do real flowers, beacause my mom is a gardener and cut flowers die. Um google translate much? LOL!
