Guys and Their Crochet Hooks

Remember the Real Men Crochet post? Well, here’s another example to add to the list. Seeing these three high school friends, I wouldn’t have guessed that they crocheted. Or even created an organization called Krochet Kids that empowers Ugandan woman by teaching them crochet and providing them steady jobs.

    what a great thing for these young men to do. My daughter and I sponsor a little boy in Uganda through ChildFund International. I’ve been a crocheter for as long as I can remember.

    I saw these guys and their organization while watching my local news one morning. I turned the t.v. on and switched it to channel 5 – KTLA, and there was a segment on them! This was the first time I had seen a male crochet anything!

    These guys are super awesome and what they do is amazing ^_^*

    I find it rather sexy to see men crocheting and stepping past that concept that its for girls.. good for them, and what a wonderful thing to do for people in need! Good job guys!

    The way they are different is, they teach a skill so the women can earn money. They not just handing out food or clothes; they are doing something to help the people help themselves.
