Finally, spring is here! While it might not seem like it yet where you are living it is nice to know that winter will soon be a memory in our rear view mirror as we journey into warmer days, birds singing, frogs croaking and flowers blooming. Easter is right around the corner too, so be sure and use these upcoming days to create a few fun crafts to celebrate the holiday. Crochet Pattern: Popcorn Ombre Child’s Headband

I have seen some really cute hair accessories everywhere I turn. A lot of my favorite department stores’ accessories sections have a large area devoted to hair barrettes, bows, bobby pins and headbands. While I must admit I’ve added several new hair doodads to my collection I have taken to making my own as well. I embellished this child’s headband in a matter of ten minutes for my daughter (that includes hunting down the headband itself). I love yarn that graduates in color and texture. This project is a perfect one for using up your treasured yarn scraps.

Crochet Pattern: Lacy Hair Scrunchie

Over the summer I have been in New York City, Chicago and San Francisco. While on business and vacationing I’ve had the opportunity to window shop and browse a variety of stores. I love adapting my wardrobe to the latest style without paying big bucks. As of late, I’ve been seeing a lot of lace and some really cute, feminine hair accessories popping up everywhere! So, I whipped up this super simple hair scrunchie. This is the perfect project for using up leftover bits of yarn. Don’t forget to make some for the little girls in your life! They make great gifts too.
