For some unexplainable reason, I’ve always adored umbrellas and parasols. When I was little, I received a child-sized blue umbrella complete with frills. I couldn’t wait for rainy day after that. It only takes a few yards of yarn and you can make it with any color or type of yarn. Not into earrings? It would also make a great pin, just sew or glue on a pin back. This necklace was inspired by my niece Tiffany. She made a chain scarf that came out really cute. I don’t wear scarfs much since I live in Arizona and it’s just to0 warm to wear scarves except for a month or two in the winter. So, I decided to make a chain necklace in lieu of a scarf. I added the button to hide the knot and for some sparkle. You can make the necklace longer or shorter or make it into a scarf by changing the number of chains.
