Crochet Pattern: Three Strand Twisted Bracelet

Posted in Free Crochet Patterns on February 5th, 2014 by Laurie Beranek – 1 Comment
This past summer I was visiting my family in Wisconsin. We went up to Northern Wisconsin to a cabin on a lake that my dad rents every year. While I was there, my niece came to visit for a few days and she had made these really cute multi-color embroidery thread knotted bracelets. She taught me how to make them. I wanted a bracelet that was thicker and had some sparkle, so I came up with this crochet pattern that uses crochet thread classic 10 yarn and silver metallic stretch cord. You can adjust them to any size wrist by adding or deleting the number of chains. They can be made in a multitude of colors to suit anyone’s wardrobe. Best of all, they are super quick and easy to make. You can make up a bunch in no time at all. Enjoy! Twisted Bracelet

In our love of personalization let’s crochet for everything, including the necessary. Glasses need protection but they also need to be you. Being made of crochet fabric this case has a fair amount of elasticity but if you find your size glasses need a little more room simply add a couple extra chains to both front and back rectangles to begin with and continue with the patterns instructions! Crochet Pattern: Stem Glass Scarf

Posted in Free Crochet Patterns on January 25th, 2014 by Laurie Beranek – Be the first to comment
I was at my aunt and uncle’s house for the holidays and my aunt brought out little scraves to tie around our wineglasses. They were adorable. Each scarf was a different design, so it was a great way to keep track of your glass. I decided that I wanted some scarfs for my own, so I came up with this super quick and easy design and pattern. I can’t wait to use them at my next get together with my friends. I am sure that they will be a huge hit. Make a bunch in different colors to help you and your guests keep track of your glasses in a fun and cute way. They would also make a great gift. Best part, they are another great way to use up your yarn stash. Enjoy! StemGlass Scarf

When I first accepted this project I had no idea how I was going to go about it but I knew the best way to start is to remember the basics. So I took some ideas and worked them out on paper before I took up my hook and started crocheting. As I worked I was thoroughly surprised at how well the horse was coming out. Now I am happy to present to you my very first horse appliqué, Curly the Horse! Curly the Horse Applique

Swirly pendants in bright colors are fun yet simple accessories. You can accent them with beads or string them on a cord on their own. In a tighter gauge, they also make interesting buttons. The pattern is worked from inside out in the back loop then turned and worked from the outside in in the front loop. crochet_swirl_pendant

Posted in Free Crochet Patterns, Fun Ramblings on January 10th, 2014 by Rachel Choi – 57 Comments

Welcome to the Mystery Crochet Along (CAL)! I hope you’re ready for a fun adventure! Since this crochet along is a mystery, I can’t tell you exactly what you will be crocheting, but I can give you a hint. The object will be something that you can give to a friend as a Valentine’s Day gift, or keep for yourself if you find it too cute to giveaway. You’re always welcomed to make more than one! It is a small object, sort of like a toy, but is versatile so you can use it in more than one way.

Here is how the Mystery CAL is going to work:

  • Start right now! Use the pattern information below to gather your materials and start crocheting the first part of the pattern.
  • Every week a new part will be added to the pattern on this page. There will be a total of 4 parts. So be sure to bookmark this page and come back every week! I’ll send reminders out in the weekly newsletter and also on Facebook, just in case.
  • Feel free to leave comments on this post to ask questions if you need help while crocheting.
  • Feel free to email me ([email protected]) pictures of your work in progress and I’ll upload them to the website and show them off for you! Or you can post a link to your pictures in the comments section.
  • After completing the final part of the pattern, be sure to email me a picture of your final object! I’ll create a round up of all the submitted pictures so that everyone can see each others’ work. As a bonus, I’ll randomly select a “winner” who will receive a mystery prize.
