Hi. So, I know this is a basic pattern, but, it’s generally a classic. I had an issue with the pattern though. I am using a size 6 yarn, and, I’m even using a larger hook than suggested…I also crochet really loosely, which means I usually have to use a smaller hook or my stuff comes out really big. This pattern though, seems really small. I got to where I had 36 stitches each round and it looked like it would only fit a newborn, maybe even a preemie. My hook size was an N (9mm). So, I don’t see how this could fit an adult as written.

    Hello Melanie,
Just to clarify, by “size 6 yarn” are saying super bulky weight?

    Hi,
I love this pattern. Thank you. My question is I want to make it a bit bigger. The head circumference I need is about two more inches. How can I do that? Thank you so much.

      Hi Cassie,
Round 6 is the last increasing round before you work even for the rest of the hat. To make a bigger hat simply continue increasing for as many rounds as you feel necessary before working even.

      Happy Crocheting (and Merry Christmas!),
