Crochet Pattern: Fold and Sew Wallet

By Candace – 8 Comments
Believe it or not, this wallet is rather simple to make. It uses a stair-step structure to create the pockets. There are only three points where you need to sew, which creates four pockets to keep your cards and money in. Feel free to crochet this little wallet in fun colors!

Skill Level:

Finished Size: 7.5″ (19 cm) long, 2.5″ (6.5 cm) wide

Materials:
Fine Weight Yarn (approximately 50 yards)
Crochet Hook G (4.00 mm)

Gauge:
9 sc = 2″ (5 cm)
10 rows = 2″ (5 cm)

    Hi
Thank you for this pattern. Just wanted to ask is there a way to add a coin compartment with zipper? Or add an extra pocket? Thank you 🙂

    • Candace says:

Sure! You can always crochet a small square ore rectangle and dd it to the front or back of the wallet then add the zipper. Or since you’ll be sewing anyway, use a matching or contrasting fabric to make the pocket.

Ok. Thank you so much for your reply. I just thought if there was a way to implement it into the pattern.

Hello-I need some assistance with the folding of the wallet. I’m not quite sure how to fold it so it looks like the picture.

Thanks in advance for your help!

      Hi Lisa!
You will fold your finished piece into thirds. This will create the wallet layers and shape. Then you will sew the top and bottom closed and sew down the middle where the wallet will fold.
