Crochet Pattern: Solid V Pendant Necklace

This V shaped pendant is easy and quick to crochet. Attach it to a chain and you have a fashionable necklace that is ready to wear. Crochet the pendant in bright, bold colors to add a pop to your outfit. Feel free to try the pattern if different weights of yarn to achieve a larger or smaller pendant.

Skill Level:

Finished Size: 3 3/4” (9.5 cm) wide, 2 1/2” (6.5 cm) tall

Materials:
Size 3 Crochet Thread (approximately 10 yards)
Crochet hook US 1 (2.35 mm)
Chain (2 chains 8” long are used in sample photo, one long chain may be used if necklace can fit over wearer’s head without a clasp opening.)
1 Clasp (long chains may not require a clasp)
2 – 4 Jump rings (number of jump rings may vary depending on chain and clasp choice)
Pliers
crochet yarn size 1

Gauge:
Rows 1 – 3 in pattern measures 3 3/4” wide and 2 1/2” tall

Crochet Pattern: V Pendant
Note: Beginning ch 3 count as 1 dc, and beginning ch 4 counts as 1 tr throughout pattern.

Row 1: ch 33, working in back ridge only, dc in fourth ch from hook and in next 13 ch, 4 dc in next ch, dc in next 15 ch: 34 dc

Row 2 – 3: ch 3, turn, skip first 2 dc, dc in next 14 dc, 2 dc in each of next 2 dc, dc in next 14 dc, skip 1 dc, dc in last dc: 34 dc

Finish off. Attach chain to top corners of pendant with jump rings and pliers. Attach clasp to chain.
