Free Crochet Pattern: Santa Sack Favor Bag

By Amy Yarbrough – 6 Comments

I’m delighted to share with you my second Christmas favor bag, the Santa Sack! (See the other design in the Christmas series, Christmas Ornament Favor Bag). I think this one might just be my favorite yet.

The bag is crocheted in a simple ball shape for the most part, and the black belt is worked in the rounds. The last few rounds are crocheted with a fuzzy white yarn, like Santa’s fur-lined coat, and a yellow buckle is made separate and sewn on the front.

Stuff the Santa Sack Favor Bag with goodies to give to friends and family for Christmas!

Skill Level:

Finished Size: 6 1/2” (16.5 cm) tall, 7 1/2” (19 cm) laid flat

Materials:
Medium weight yarn (approximately 50 yards of red, 10 yards of black, and 5 yards of yellow)
Bulky weight, fuzzy yarn (approximately 20 yards of white)
Crochet hook 4.50 mm
Yarn needle
Stitch markers

crochet yarn size 4

Gauge:
Rounds 1-2 in pattern measure 1″ in diameter

Start at one side and weave the yarn in and out of the stitches until you return to where you started. Do the same for the second strand from the other side.
