Request a Crochet Pattern

By Rachel Choi – 12 Comments

Do you have a project that you would like to crochet, but can’t find a good pattern for? I’m always looking for new ideas to crochet. Let me know your ideas and there’s a good chance I’ll make it. I can’t promise to make all of the ideas that I receive, there’s only so much I can do, but I would love to do as many requests as I can.

Over the years some of the best ideas are the ones that came from Crochet Spot readers, just like you! Leave a comment below and let me know your crochet pattern requests.

Hello! I was wondering if I could take you up on your offer. I’ve been looking at this sweater pattern for a while now but it’s in another language. I didn’t know exactly how I could handle this and saw your post. Maybe you could make your own design similar to the picture?

I’m really not sure how to paste a photo here so I’m just going to send a link to the pattern. It seems like a pretty straightforward sweater but I’m not sure how you could do the sleeves to give it that look.

Hi, I would appreciate it if you would consider doing an afghan pattern using the “kitten” stitch, that looks like rows of cats. I would really love to see it in realistic cat colors (I always seem to see it in pink, red, or blue.) I can’t find a pattern that looks clear to me or looks like what I want. I love that you often give the sizes from baby up through king size in your blanket patterns. Thanks for being open to requests!

    Hi Rachel!

My grandson is nuts about Star Trek. I’d like to make a small blanket with a com badge in it. Any ideas?

I do love your patterns and blog.

I’m looking for a pattern for a tea pot cosy which fits a tea pot but does not need to be removed daily to use the tea pot and is not too flowery and old style…. I couldn’t find a pattern and would really appreciate one if it is in design or graph form like Turkish or Japanese style.thanks!!

I have a picture of an Afghan that someone wants me to make for her sister that won’t live much longer. I was wondering if you or someone could look at the picture and figure out the stitches used or figure out a pattern for it. I really want to give her this gift before it’s too late hope someone can help. I can email pic. Thanks so so much.

I found these adorable cotton donut teethers on Pinterest, they have a 3 inch wooden ring inside. But they are no longer available from Etsy and I can not find a pattern anywhere! I am still mostly a beginner so I do not know how to come up with a copy cat pattern. Can anyone come up with a pattern of these donut teethers to share with me?! Please!!

I’m looking for a crochet pattern for men’s tabi socks, or split-toe socks to wear with
flip flops. I’ve seen some discontinued and unavailable patterns on the web. Can anyone
direct me to a crochet pattern that I can buy for men’s tabi (Japanese style) socks!?

    Thank you!
