Crochet Pattern: Bit o’ Twist Headband

By Candace – 4 Comments
My hair almost never feels tamed without a headband. It’s almost like my keys as far as being a necessity for leaving the house. A lot of crochet headbands are really wide–at least for my taste– and I wanted one that was less obtrusive with skinny ties to keep it on. And of course, I had to put a cable on it. crochet_bitotwist_headband

Hello! The first part is the gauge…

      Gauge:
      4 dc = 1 1/4″
      3 rows = 2″
      Gauge Swatch: 1 1/4″w x 2″h (3 cm x 5 cm) ch 7.
Row 1: dc in fourth ch from hook and in each ch across: 4 dc
Row 2 – 8: ch 3, turn, dc in each dc across: 4 dc
      Finish off.

It is not actually a part of the headband. A gauge is used to determine if your tension is correct to obtain the correct finished size. Feel free to learn more about gauge here: http://www.crochetspot.com/what-the-heck-is-a-gauge/
