Crochet Pattern: Medina Dishtowel

If you are somebody that works a lot in the kitchen, by now you know that good absorbent dishtowels are hard to come by. You can search and search and still be unsatisfied. So why not make your own? Choosing a good cotton yarn is the first step. There are many cotton yarns on the market, some which are mixed with other fibers. Cotton is essential for kitchen towels and cloths because of their durability and resistance to fraying. Make as many of these as you might need and never buy another factory-made towel again! Very nice to have a pattern for a dish towel as opposed to just dish cloths. Very cute! Thanks for making this a free pattern!

What brand yarn did you use for the dish towel? I am just learning and I think I can do this! Well the towel, maybe not the flowers quite yet.

    • Hi Shelley,

I used Dishie from Knit Picks. It’s the first time I used it and I liked it very much. But I can’t vouch for how long the yarn will last, I haven’t had the chance to test it.

The pattern is really good for new crocheters. For the flowers you need to understand how to work in the round and make an adjustable ring, which you can find how-to pages right here on Crochet Spot. If you decide to make them and would like help, I’m right here. So have fun!
