Crocheted Urinal

By Rachel Choi – 32 Comments

I’ve seen lots of quirky crocheted things, but this one has to be at the top of the list. I’m not sure if I’m suppose to think this is cute or be completely disgusted. But it sure gave me a good laugh and I hope it does the same for you.

crochet urinal

I have to admit, it’s pretty well made.

yes, but what happens when a drunk stumbles across it?

I’m actually pretty grossed out by this. I feel like the yarn would hold on to … The pee, and it would be really hard to clean. Whether it’s well made or not it’s still nasty.

  5. Karen says:

LOL all I can say is someone had way too much time on their hands. lol

  6. Stace says:

HAHAHA! this is soo funny! I have to agree, it is totally well crocheted (obviously don’t peeing in it though).

  7. Angie says:

I’m half disgusted in by it and half amused. It is very well made… but, all the same has a very big E-W-W-W-W-W factor.

I would love the pattern for this!!! I work for a plumbing company and my boss would get a HUGE kick out of this!

What gets me is that it even has the deoderizing cake in the base. Yep! Waaay toooo much time!

Somebody’s Got Plenty Of Free Or Down Time. Quite An Imagionation. What Will They Think Of Or Come Up With Next ?

  13. Shari says:

I agree with most on this one…EWE! ! I am sure many of us have come up with some very interesting ideas but how many actually sit and think of urinals? Weird! I hope this was just someone’s idea of a joke and it is for amusement purposes only!!!

  14. Perry says:

    Only one word comment: WHY?

  15. Rosa says:

Definitely too much time on their hands. What purpose would it serve???

  16. Cindi says:

I really don’t want to know what they might come up with next….kinda strange. I too would like to know why someone would create this…”thing”. Is there any background story to go with it?

  17. Darlene says:

Hilarious! You go Jodie. . .a plumber should appreciate it!

  18. Christa says:

It was made by Nathan Vincent. Artistic purposes only not practical…

  19. katie says:

silly and a waste of good yarn. my opinion, for what it’s worth.

  20. Bex says:

Haha too funny, man some people get wound up over anything, it is weird but I dont see the gross out factor, not like its been peed on 😛

  21. Samantha says:

That seems like something that would appear in one of the modern art galleries where I live. Personally, not my “style” but I find it at least a smidge entertaining and impressive that someone decided to design and make that.

    Kudo’s I guess. =^O.o^=

  22. Barb says:

..and I thought the grossest crocheted item I ever saw was a crocheted tampon!!!!!!!

  23. Lori says:

Hilarious!!! I wonder if he used a “P” hook, haha!

  24. Cindy says:

Wow. I personally wouldn’t spend my time or yarn on such a project, but to each their own.

  25. m says:

The difference between the crochet tampon and this crochet urinal is that the first one is actually intended to be functional, and the “urinal” is fiber art. The artist is aiming for (and reaching!) dissonance between form and material by using a material that could not be functional for that form. It gives the viewer a little shock, right? and not just because it has to do with waste. 😉

It is well done though I’d have made the urinal cake a funky shade of greenish blue. Being pink it sorta looks like a bar of soap.

  27. Judi says:

Unique, strange, original. Just not something I would make.

  28. nancy says:

I search the net everyday looking for the freaky things to crochet

Wow …. and I can appreciate all the work. I don’t like making crocheted hamburgers or sushi either , gross ! Crocheted tampoons and pads , gross, but a great idea . Don’t have a use for any of the “mentioned” above …. To each his own as long as you are crocheting …. LOL

I think this is the funniest thing I’ve every seen in the crochet world. I worked in a camping ground for four years and really appreciate the humor. Also agree with the color of the deordoizer, should at least be blue. I am still laughing, would like the pattern. Thanks for the space to talk.

  31. I was surfing Crochet Spot backwards and came a cross this. This urinal tops the bicycle cozy and all the other quirky crocheted stuff I have seen. lol
